While Texas deals with the 27 billion deficit due to years of poor leadership...Texas Governor Rick Perry attends the Las Vegas Shot Show to promote his book Fed Up and help raise money to help fund Texas schools that are due to receive massive educational spending cuts. All kidding aside...this darling little site has been having that thrill run up their leg moment over the event. After all, he is the most gun friendly Governor in the country. But I'm sure they mean the country of Texas.

There is a politician in Texas who has committed political suicide...his name is Aaron Pena. He finds it amusing to switch to the Republican party after his constituents voted him in with a 70% margin. That a 70% Democratic margin. He is calling out his old Democratic friends for critizing his move and referencing JFK to state his point. Foolish.

Looks like the righties want a rehash of the 2008 presidential election with the likes of Romney, Palin and Huckabee. I'm okay with this because against Prez Obama this a pretty weak group. Romney is already screwed with his Romneycare...sounds like Obamacare so the teabaggers will eat him for lunch. The more Palin speaks about phony news stories and media attacks the more people want to drink a gallon of tequila and puke all over their tv. Huckabee is, well is Huckabee. Now democrats, remember we have a backbone so frigin' use it for gosh sakes.

Our new Texas tea baggin' governor now wants to opt out of medicaid. I say new because he kind of floats with the wind and he's decided to hang with the Sarah Palin nutbag crowd. Anyway many think his talk of opting out of Medicaid doesn't make any sense. Getting fed up yet?

Another election, another round of Republican dirty tricks and voter intimidation. And Fox's Jon Scott, supposedly part of their "straight news" coverage as opposed to what they admit is "opinion" does his best here to carry some water for them and try to convince everyone up is down and black is white. It's not these teabagger "poll watchers" intimidating voters that are the problem. No, they're the victims now according to the King Street Patriots' leader Catherine Engelbrecht and her attorney Jonathan Saenz.

Heaven forbid those evil minority voters they're targeting got sick of these bullies breathing down their necks while they're trying to vote. How dare they! Apparently Engelbrecht isn't too happy with the local ABC affiliate down in Houston's reporting on her group's activities either. Here's a reminder about this lovely little group's activities -- Voter Registration Group Receives Threatening Emails After Being Targeted by Tea Party Patriots. The good news out of this is that the Department of Justice is going to get involved, but whether their presence will be enough to counter this sort of activity remains to be been.
